And then make meaning. What did this piece mean to the choreographer? The website gives you some ideas. What does it mean to you? Back it up with what you saw.
The dancer's movements will change directly with the fast and slow rhythm of the background music, and there is no limit to the range of body movements, sometimes stretching gently, sometimes dancing quickly. The sunset sun, the beach and the dancers' clothes are all similar colors, as if they all blended into one. The red gauze skirt that was replaced in the middle of the performance was particularly unique and dazzling on all stages. She focused all her attention on her, as if adding a theme to the whole story. The whole stage is also special and never seen before. The stage is not in the usual grand theater. The stage is set on the beach by the sea, and no one knows where the boundaries of the stage are. This novel way of setting the stage made us all feel like we were there, because without the boundaries of the stage, we all felt like we were in the middle of the stage and the whole performance seemed to revolve around us.
ReplyDeleteGreat observations, Yuming! What do you think the dance was about, and what did you see that made you think that?
